The city of Deir Ezzor has recently witnessed remarkable commercial activity in the markets for construction and finishing materials, with a noticeable increase in demand from local residents.
Markets selling concrete blocks, ceramic tiles, plumbing supplies, and electrical materials used for foundational and renovation work have experienced a revival, along with a clear increase in activity in the cement and construction steel market.
Abdullah Al-Hussein, a construction worker, confirmed that this recovery and the residents’ growing interest in renovating their homes have stimulated the labor market and increased the demand for workers, contributing to the availability of daily job opportunities and a rise in contracts with workshops to complete finishing and renovation work.
He added that residents are currently working on repairing their damaged homes in the neighborhoods of Al-Jbeileh, Al-Omal, Al-Hamidiyah, and Al-Muwazafeen in Deir Ezzor.
The renovation efforts carried out by residents have activated the market for basic finishing materials, such as doors, metalwork, plumbing supplies, and electrical components.
Residents of these neighborhoods are rushing to complete their renovation work before the actual start of the winter season.
