The General Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater in Deir Ezzor has restarted the Mohassan west station in the eastern countryside, after a partial stoppage that lasted 15 days due to a technical malfunction in the raw pumping set, which caused a decline in the amount of water reaching the residents during the past period.
The company explained that technical teams, in cooperation with the local community, were able to repair the fault and return the station to full operational readiness, ensuring the resumption of regular water pumping for beneficiaries.
The station serves approximately 20,000 residents in the city of Mohassan, with a pumping capacity of up to 160 cubic meters per hour and a lifting height of 20 meters, contributing to enhancing the stability of water supplies and improving the level of service provided to residents.
The company confirmed the continuation of periodic maintenance work and technical follow-up of the station and various water facilities, with the aim of ensuring the sustainability of the service and raising the reliability of drinking water supplies in the area.
