A source told Deir Ezzor 24 that on Friday, April 2, 2021, the Liwaa al-Quds militia arrested fighters in the al-Shula area in the southern Deir Ezzor badiya. The militia arrested the fighters for the disappearance of two guns in one of the militia’s outposts.
The source added that a military police patrol headed to the area and investigated the fighters stationed in the outpost. The patrol arrested the two fighters whose guns disappeared.
This incident contributes to a series of thefts in the ranks of the Assad regime and Iranian militias due to poor economic conditions in the Assad controlled-areas.
