Albukamal District Administration announced the resumption of traffic for light vehicles on the Deir Ezzor – Albukamal road at Al-Salihiya Bridge, following the completion of emergency maintenance work that was carried out to address the damage resulting from the floods, in conjunction with the decline in water levels in the area.
The administration explained that its teams, in cooperation with the Civil Defense, continue to implement additional reinforcement works to enhance the technical readiness and safety of the bridge’s structural structure, noting that the passage of heavy machinery is still temporarily stopped as a precautionary measure, until the reinforcement works are completed in accordance with approved safety standards.
The administration stressed that this step comes within the framework of gradually reactivating traffic movement, ensuring the safety of passers-by and contributing to alleviating the suffering of people in the area.
