A source told the Deir Ezzor 24 that Iranian militias represented by Sheikh Ahmad al-Adai head of the al-Mahdi Center seized the Somar Arena and swimming pool to invest it in the al-Jorah neighborhood in the city of Deir Ezzor.
The source added that the militias turned the arena into a celebrations and religious meetings hall. The militias placed earth mounds from the backside of the arena and blocked roads.
The Somar Arena is one of the most famous weddings arenas in Deir Ezzor. The militias invested the arena after they invested in the al-Noor hospital.
