DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:

Informed sources confirmed to DeirEzzor24 network that the general official of the Revolutionary Guards militia in eastern Syria, Hajj Mahdi, was transferred to Damascus, against the background of his involvement in corruption cases and practices, to be appointed to lead the Sayyida Zainab guards faction in Damascus, while Haj Kameet was appointed as his successor.

Haj Mahdi had assumed command of the militia since 2018, when he was the most prominent leading figure in eastern Syria.

The Revolutionary Guards militia is working to deepen its military and strategic influence in the region, in implementation of its expansionist plans, which aim to spread Shiite ideology and demographic change, by strengthening its militias, implementing service projects, restoring Husseiniyas, and holding events that attract the people of the region; to convert to the Shiite sect.
