A DeirEzzor24 network correspondent said that the checkpoints of the Fourth Division in Deir Ezzor Governorate impose a fine on street ice sellers of 1,000 liras per block.
He added that the division’s checkpoints impose an amount of 100,000 Syrian pounds per load of ice, which prompted a large number of vendors to stop working.
It is noteworthy that the majority of itinerant ice sellers ride in semi-trucks or small cars, transporting ice from factories to neighboring villages for a small profit.
