DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:

A DeirEzzor24 network reporter said that the level of the Euphrates River is less than a meter from the surface of the dirt bridge, and the water is submerging the (Russian) floating metal bridge.

He added that a new rise in the level of the Euphrates River was recoreded, estimated at a quarter of a meter from its last height, and a new decline in the dirt bridge on the side of the town of Al-Husseiniyah, and the blockage of more than 10 pipes in the middle of the bridge as a result of the accumulation of plankton and the remains of drifting trees.

Despite the daily monitoring of the cleaning equipment (the pipes), the force of the river’s flow, which reached 600 m³/s, prevents the cleaning of the pipes due to the danger of working on a primitive bridge that is on the verge of collapsing at any moment, were it not for the presence of the bridge branch (the pipes), which relieves the pressure of the mainstream.

The Russian bridge between the towns of Al-Mariyah and Marat was flooded due to the cessation of cleaning operations at the bottom of the river by the bridge battalion of the 17th Division, an alternative to the Russian battalion, which took over it more than a year ago.
