Electricity has been restored to the villages of Al-Shiha, Al-Wasa’a, and Al-Anibat, which belong to the town of Al-Tabni in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, after an outage that lasted for nearly seven years. This restoration is part of a project implemented by the Deir Ezzor Electricity Company in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The project included extending medium-voltage and low-voltage networks with a total length of 7.5 kilometers, in addition to installing three electrical transformers of varying capacities, with the aim of improving the stability of the electricity supply and meeting the needs of the residents.
This project is expected to contribute to supporting the return of residents to their villages, improving the level of basic services, and revitalizing economic and social life in the area after years of being deprived of electricity.
