DeirEzzor24 Network has monitored an individual escape of reservists from the Russian-backed Fifth Corps from the Corps’ points in Deir Ezzor, after the recent decision related to salaries.
DeirEzzor24 network correspondent said that the escape of the soldiers came after the decision, which included depriving them of the salary they receive in US dollars, and limiting their wages to the reserve military salary of 140,000 only.
He added that the defectors from the Corps of the Russian militia belong to the Fifth Brigade, which is deployed in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor and the military airport, and the Sixth, which is stationed in the Al-Mayadeen area, east of Deir Ezzor.
According to a special source for Deir Ezzor, 24 of the Corps’ salaries told us that the number of defectors from the Corps exceeded 20, and they were arrested individually, including those who headed towards the SDF-controlled areas.
The reservists who are still at the top of their service in the Corps are now using the method of rebellion and non-compliance with the Russian military orders in terms of shifts and military dress under the pretext of depriving them of the Russian salary.
