More than two weeks ago, the Deir Ezzor Civil Council affiliated with the SDF announced the start of repairing the dirt bridge connecting Al-Hussainiya to the Al-Huwaika neighborhood between the two banks of the Euphrates River.
Our reporter said that there had been no real work to restore the bridge or to restore it or repair the damaged part made of metal sheets, during the past few days.
He added that civilians accused the SDF Civil Council of procrastination due to the lack of continuity of work and that the SDF was monitoring civilians entering the city of Deir Ezzor by boat.
It took the Assad regime and the Iranian-backed militias only a few days to completely build the bridge, before the SDF blew it up hours after withdrawing from the areas west of the Euphrates, causing great suffering to civilians as it is the only bridge in the province used for transportation between the two banks of the Euphrates River.
