Inhabitants of the industrial zone down to Al-Tahtouh quarter in Deir Ezzor suffer from the non-availability of any health-care centre or a dispensary that provide them with essential medical services.
Residents in both the industrial zone and Al-Tahtouh quarter east of Deir Ezzor city centre are obliged to go to hospitals in the city centre as a result of the non-availability of a small healthcare centre serves the area.
One of Al-Tahtouh residents, Hareth Al Hasan, confirmed to Deir Ezzor-24 that the neighborhood not only lacks a health care centre but also lacks the availability of pharmacies which forces inhabitants to go to city centre to purchase medicines even at late night hours.
Al-Tahtouh quarter inhabitants, shop-keepers and industrial zone residents asked health department and the concerned parties to work on establishing a dispensary that serves the area in addition to claims for pharmacists syndicate to encourage opening pharmacies and to make a 24-hour pharmacy available to satisfy the needs of inhabitants.
