The public places Occupations Department of Deir Ezzor City Council implemented a field campaign targeting stalls, cafes and parks that offer hookahs to children under the age of puberty, as part of controlling violations and protecting minors.
The campaign resulted in the closure of a number of illegal stalls and the closure of some places, in addition to issuing official written warnings to café owners, stressing the prohibition of offering hookahs to minors under penalty of legal accountability.
During the campaign, two individuals were transferred to Public Security to take the necessary legal action against them
