In interactive ways that suit the world of children, Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers, with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross, carried out awareness activities in Mama Samah Kindergarten in Deir Ezzor, with the aim of protecting 90 children from the dangers of suspicious objects and war remnants.
The activities included simplified interactive activities that introduced children to the potential dangers of these objects, and focused on safe behaviors that must be followed when they encounter them, most notably not approaching or touching them, and informing a trusted adult to inform the competent authorities and deal with them appropriately.
Volunteers were also keen to provide information using educational methods appropriate to the target age group, which contributes to consolidating the concepts of safety and prevention, and developing children’s ability to recognize and avoid risks.
These activities come within the framework of efforts aimed at spreading awareness of the dangers of war remnants, especially among children, enhancing their protection and reducing accidents and injuries, which contributes to building a safer environment for society.
