The Assad regime’s Criminal Security branch launched an arrest campaign against all clerks and brokers of the Civil Affairs Directorate in al-Jorah neighborhood in the city of Deir Ezzor.
Among the arrested was Kaser al-Habash the mukhtar of the al-Ba’ajeen neighborhood. Al-Habash owes loyalty to the Lebanese Hezbollah militia and works in purchasing real estate and lands for the Iranian militias in Deir Ezzor, especially as the militias are entrenching their influence in Deir Ezzor. Al-Habash is famous for his good relations with the chiefs of the Assad regime’s security services.
