An informed source told Deir Ezzor 24 network that on Monday, Dheeb al-Najras, a sheikh of al-Akidat tribe, invited the security committee and the heads of Assad regime’s security branches, as well as the leaders of Iranian and Russian militias to a big lunch.
According to the source, eighty sheep were slaughtered for the launch that was held in eight tents in al-Joura neighborhood behind the provincial building.
Al-Najras is a supporter of the regime against the Syrian democratic forces (SDF). In past statements, he confirmed that Arab tribes stand with Assad regime’s forces. He called for the liberation of al-Jazeera from what he called the “brutal colonialism” and its lackeys, and bringing it back to the embrace of the motherland”, as he said.
He had earlier accused the SDF of killing innocent people and terrorizing civilians.
