About 6 buses designated for Shiite visitors entered from Al-Qaim crossing to Al-Bukamal, coming from Iraq, carrying members of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces militia, a private source told DeirEzzor24.
The source said that the Iranian militias prevented companies, including the “Qalaa” company, from accompanying the buses, as is customary with visitor buses, with the aim of preventing them from knowing their true destination or the elements and weapons the buses possess.
He added that the buses were distributed in several areas, some of which settled in the city of Al-Mayadeen, and the other part continued its way towards southern Syria, specifically to Quneitra and its surroundings.
The Popular Mobilization Forces militia has recently intensified sending members from Iraq towards southern Syria in conjunction with the military escalation between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
