A source told Deir Ezzor 24 network that the Iranian Cultural Center in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Militia (IRGC), has launched an investigation against road contractors.
The source said that the officials of the Iranian Cultural Center found out that about 35 million Syrian pounds had been embezzled from the budget of one of the projects the center is responsible for, which prompted them to form a committee to investigate a number of contractors, most notably Abu Fadi and Othman Al-Khalaf.
The Iranian Cultural Center has recently turned to carry out service projects in Deir Ezzor with the facilitation of Assad regime’s officials.
