On Monday, March 1, 2021, the Russian Military Police (MP) deployed patrols in the city of Deir Ezzor, the Deir Ezzor-Al-Bukamal highway, and the Deir Ezzor-Palmyra highway, amidst helicopters flying at low altitude.
A convoy of the MP crossed the iron bridge between Al-Huwayqah neighborhood in the city of Deir Ezzor and the village of al-Husseiniyah on the northern bank of the Euphrates. The convoy headed towards the village of Marrat, eastern Deir Ezzor.
Russian MP intensified patrols in Deir Ezzor over the recent days.
