The Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas Brigade militia, which is based in the al-Quriya Badia, east of Deir Ezzor , recently targeted, with missile strikes, the al-Omar oil field base in Deir ez-Zor, which the international coalition forces use as a military base, which led to the injury of 4 American soldiers.

The Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas Brigade militia has not claimed responsibility for the attack, while it deliberately hides its activities and operations east of the Euphrates, which often target bases belonging to the international coalition.

What do you know about the “Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas” brigade?
When it was decided to enter the sectarian and state militias affiliated with Iran to Syria, to stand by the Assad regime, in its war against its people, both the Iraqi “Nujaba Movement” and the Iraqi “Hezbollah” militia sent mercenaries in the name of the “Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas Brigade”, which is one of the branches of the “Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas Brigade.” The Iraqi Hezbollah militia, along with others such as the Mahdi Brigades, all of which entered under the pretext of protecting the sanctuaries.

These militias participated in committing massacres in other Syrian governorates, in the Khalidiya neighborhood and Baba Amr in Homs, and committed the al-Bayda massacre in Baniyas, and the massacres of Daraya and Eastern Ghouta. Experts from the Iraqi Hezbollah also participated in the al-Jura massacre in Deir Ezzor.

This group branched off to produce a local militia with the same name, which is spread in the city of Al-Mayadin, east of Deir Ezzor.

Who is this local militia?!
The “Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas” Brigade owes its affiliation to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in the city of al-Mayadin, led by one of the city’s residents, “Abbas al-Saud Abu al-Abbas.” Headquarters and elements of the military kitchen.

The brigade’s points and headquarters are spread in many regions and villages. The people of each village from the ranks of the brigade were installed in their villages, with the aim of recruiting them to attract their relatives and encourage them to join the ranks of the brigade.

The “Villa”, located near the side of the Al-Baloom Roundabout, is the most important headquarters of the Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas Brigade. The castle in the Baloom district of the city.

The brigade has stationed points in the vicinity of Al-Rahba Castle, Al-Aalaf Center, near Al-Mayadin Bridge, and several points in the village of Al-Taybeh “Al-Dhib Station”, in addition to a huge headquarters at Ibn Aswad’s elbow on the outskirts of the village of Mahkan on the main road, on which sectarian banners and pictures of “Soleimani” are raised. And points near the sanctuary of Ain Ali in the Badia of al-Quriah, as well as points in the depth of the desert in the al-Asharah cemeteries, and others on the river bank opposite the SDF-controlled areas.

The brigade conducts regular military patrols between al-Mayadin, al-Ashara, and the villages located between them, while the brigade’s points near farms are similar to the military barracks of all Iranian militias. With 15 points, in addition to weapons depots in the vicinity of Al-Rahba Castle, their headquarters at Ko’ Ibn Aswad, and training camps in Mahkan and Al-Ashara.

The brigade’s members receive 75,000 pounds, in addition to rewards, clothing, food baskets, and smoke, while the brigade is considered one of Iran’s most important human reservoirs, as it relies on it to recruit young people, after it failed to attract them, because they did not trust it, which makes the local leaders of the brigade from the people of al-Mayadeen, seeking To polish the image of the brigade in front of the people.

Among the most prominent commanders of the field brigade, “Abu Mazen al-Mashhadani” in al-Rahba, and “Husam al-Alaywi” in the observation points on the Euphrates.
The brigade plays a role in secretly forming cells east of the Euphrates, under the name of the Popular Resistance, and has a role in escorting shipments in the Al-Rahba Castle, digging secret tunnels in the vicinity of the castle, buying real estate and land for the Revolutionary Guard militia, buying sheep and protecting headquarters, as Al-Mayadin is an important station. As for the Revolutionary Guards militia, given its mediation between the cities of Deir Ezzor and Albukamal.
