Two US soldiers were killed after their patrol triggered the explosion of an IED close to Al Namliyah village, the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
A D24 correspondent said that Daesh fighters had planted the IED on the road near Al Namliyah village and detonated it underneath a joint patrol between US forces and SDF.
The correspondent added that the Daesh fighters clashed with some SDF fighters and then fled towards the northern desert of Deir EZZOR.
Noteworthy, Daesh has resorted to guerrilla tactics in its fight against SDF. They have carried out assassinations, ambushes and IED attacks against SDF targets in the SDF-held territory.
