The security services in the city of Deir Ezzor carried out a security campaign targeting money exchange shops and arrested two people on charges of harming the national economy, according to what a DeirEzzor24 network correspondent reported.
According to the reporter, the two detainees were released about 24 hours after their arrest, after paying a sum of money estimated at 10 million Syrian pounds for each person.
The detainees paid the amount, for fear of being forced to confess to the charges against them through torture during the investigation process.
