Technical workshops began rehabilitation work on Al-Furat Central Mill in Deir Ezzor Governorate, following the conclusion of a contract with a specialized company to implement a comprehensive renovation project aimed at raising the mill’s production readiness and enhancing its operational efficiency.
The first phase includes removing old equipment in preparation for civil rehabilitation work, before installing two modern production lines with a production capacity of 300 tons and 200 tons per day, bringing the mill’s total production to 500 tons per day according to the latest technical specifications. The phase also includes developing the mill buildings to comply with modern operating requirements.
The project is scheduled to take between 10 and 12 months to implement, including the completion of civil and technical works, with the first production line operating at a capacity of 300 tons per day as part of the first phase of the project.
The project aims to enhance food security in the eastern district, ensure the sustainable provision of flour, and support the stability of supply chains, thus contributing to stimulating economic activity in Deir Ezzor Governorate.
