DeirEzzor24 network correspondent said that members of the Republican Guard of Assad’s forces prevent most farmers from working their lands and watering them after sunset in the towns of Al-Mariya and Al-Bouamr, east of Deir Ezzor.
Farmers told DeirEzzor24 that the irrigation water goes randomly to the low lands, “sabkhas” and irrigation canals, without watering the agricultural lands, while some resort to hiring military personnel for night watering because the water remains running until midnight.
