The infantry battalion of the 17th Division of Assad’s forces, which is responsible for protecting the Russian floating bridge in Deir Ezzor, has brought heavy weapons to its points east of Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
He said that the weapons that were brought in consisted of cannons and tanks, and they were deployed in the location of the battalion in the towns of Al-Mariya and Marat, east of Deir Ezzor.
The Russian militia handed over the infantry battalion the responsibility of protecting the bridge a few days ago, before leaving Deir Ezzor province towards Qamishli.
