DeirEzzor24 network correspondent said that the Fourth Division is setting up a permanent and fixed checkpoint at the Al-Halabiya roundabout to prevent the smuggling of diesel fuel from the town of Al-Husayniyyah towards the northeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
He added that this measure was taken by the Fourth Division after its agents (Fadi Al-Afees and Anwar Al-Tair), who are responsible for smuggling oil derivatives by land and river between the two towns of Al-Jia’a, which are under the control of the SDF, to the town of Al-Hussainiya, re-smuggled it away from Ain Al-Rabea towards the town of Hatla and opened a center to sell it in the free market.
This prompted the division to set up a checkpoint in order to monitor the smuggling process, which diverted through the Islah al-Husayniyya-Salihiya road, and from there to Hatla, through the tunnel road.
Referred to as the 4th Division, Assad’s forces fully control fuel smuggling in the area extending from the town of Hatla to al-Husayniyya, northwest of Deir Ezzor.
