DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:

For the second day in a row, the DeirEzzor24 network observed and monitored intense criminal security patrols in Al-Qusour and Al-Joura neighborhoods in the city of Deir Ezzor.

One of our local reporters mentioned today that the patrols are searching people’s phones and confiscating the illegal ones, giving their owners the choice between silently confiscating the phone or losing it and getting arrested at the same time.

The law of the Assad regime considers irregular customs (Aroori customs) an electronic crime for which it is punishable by fines and imprisonment. On the other hand, customs duty ranges from 40 to 100 thousand liras, while legal customs range from 800 thousand to 4 million liras, depending on the type of mobile phone.
