Russia covers a secret crossing between the Assad-controlled areas and the SDF in Deir Ezzor

DeirEzzor24 network learned from a private source that the Fifth Corps of the Russian First Division in Deir Ezzor opened a secret crossing linking the areas controlled by the Assad regime and SDF in Deir Ezzor.
According to the source, the crossing connects the town of Al-Tabiya Jazira, which is under the control of Assad’s forces, and the town of Jadid Okaidat, which is under the control of the SDF in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
He added that the crossing was established for the purpose of smuggling refined diesel under the supervision of Syrian officers affiliated with the Russian militias.
The smuggling operations started on a small scale and along the Euphrates River with 30-liter plastic containers transported by handcarts by the Legion’s members.
