The activity of livestock smuggling has recently increased between the SDF and Assad-controlled areas. Livestock and materials to be smuggled are collected on a daily basis near the Rahba Castle in the city of Al-Mayadin. The Fourth Division supervises these operations, as it is the arm of the Revolutionary Guards militia that carries out smuggling activities in the area.
Dozens of shipments loaded with various materials, livestock and oil tanks are smuggled, which are shipped to Aleppo and other governorates, as sheep and cows are purchased by the leaders of the Revolutionary Guard militia, and shepherds near the castle are assigned to look after them, until they are shipped towards Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan, by the division. Fourth, to take advantage of the large price difference.
