The service workshops affiliated with the Deir Ezzor City Council began the work of skimming and clearing the popular market street in the Al-Joura neighborhood, which extends from the one-window area to the Al-Thawra Clinic, in preparation for starting the work of extending the asphalt road, as part of efforts aimed at improving the conditions of the roads and facilitating traffic.

The works include preparing the road with a length of approximately 600 metres, and an average width of 14.5 metres, in addition to establishing three rainwater drainage points, with the aim of improving the flow of water drainage and reducing its accumulation during the winter.

These works are being implemented in two stages. The first begins with extending a 3-centimeter-thick asphalt leveling layer, followed by the final layer with a 6-centimeter thickness, which contributes to improving the condition of the road, raising its efficiency, and providing easier and safer traffic for vehicles and pedestrians.

The rehabilitation works are expected to contribute to improving the service situation in the area, particularly on the popular market street, which witnesses daily traffic, as well as reducing problems caused by rainwater accumulation during the winter.
