Today, 7 cases of poisoning have arrived at Al-Furat Hospital in Deir Ezzor, for people who ate sweets from a candy-making store in the Al-Qusour neighborhood in Deir Ezzor.
After interrupting the testimonies of the injured, a consumer protection patrol raided a well-known candy shop called “Fawzi” in the Al-Qusour neighborhood. After inspection, expired materials used in the manufacture of sweets were found.
As a result, the factory and the shop were closed and a seizure was carried out against the shop owner, who had gone into hiding, amid reports of his escape to Damascus.
