The concerned authorities in Deir Ezzor Governorate have begun operating gas turbines to feed service lines and water stations, according to what was announced by the General Electricity Corporation in Deir Ezzor.
The turbines were operated to provide a minimum level of electricity to citizens, within the available capabilities, as a temporary emergency measure pending the completion of repair work on the technical fault and the return of the electrical system to its normal state.
This measure comes after a comprehensive power outage that the governorate witnessed yesterday evening, as a result of an emergency technical malfunction in the (230 Kv transformer.) Within the Al-Thayym facility, which led to the electrical supply being completely out of service in various areas of the governorate.
The competent authorities confirmed that maintenance and repair work will continue at an accelerated pace to fully restore electrical supply as soon as possible, while giving priority to vital and service facilities to ensure the continued provision of basic services to citizens.
