In recent weeks, the city of Deir Ezzor has witnessed the opening of dozens of commercial warehouses and storage facilities, aimed at meeting the needs of local shops and markets, according to DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our correspondent reported that most of these warehouses have been opened in the Al-Harakah area, Hassan Al-Taha Street, Al-Takaya, as well as in Al-Qusour neighborhood and l-Wadi Street within the city.
The newly opened warehouses vary in specialization, including medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, food products; household items, and electrical and sanitary supplies
Abdullah Al-Ali, an employee at one of the electrical and sanitary materials warehouses, stated that the opening of dozens of new shops in the city has encouraged investment, the establishment of additional warehouses, and the large-scale import of goods from Aleppo and Damascus
He added that the revival of the markets is due to the return of many displaced residents to Deir Ezzor and their opening of new commercial shops, which has increased demand for warehouses to supply the needs of the local market.
It is noteworthy that these warehouses serve both the city and its countryside, which are under Syrian government control with goods being transported weekly from Damascus and Aleppo . In some cases, shipments are made based on special orders from local shops.
