The process of receiving nomination applications for the Baath Party branch began yesterday in the Farmers’ Union building in the city of Deir Ezzor, which is also used by the party branch, according to what the DeirEzzor24 network correspondent reported.
Our correspondent said that the committee that receives applications is local from the people of the governorate, while the process witnessed a moderate turnout and the emergence and nomination of old figures such as Saher Al-Saghr.
It is worth noting that the nomination and election process is formal, as the person is approved by officials of the Assad regime in Damascus, and the one who pays the most and has the greatest mediation takes precedence.
