Warplanes committed a massacre on Wednesday after striking the city of Al-Quriyah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and killing nine civilians.
The airstrikes hit a vehicle carrying several civilians on the road of the bridge in the city, killing nine of them and heavily wounding many others.
The civilian death toll might increase due to the severe injuries suffered by the wounded, amid difficulties to transport them to neighborhood field hospitals, as the hospitals in the city are now restricted to treatment of Daesh affiliates.
Most of the airstrikes against Daesh in Deir Ezzor have been focused on civilians. This was not the first massacre in Al-Quriya.
