The owners of ice-making factories resorted to reducing the production time from 9 hours to 6 hours, with the high demand for ice slabs in Deir Ezzor Governorate, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our correspondent said that the reduction of production hours led to the manufacture of completely hollow ice slabs that do not resist for more than an hour in water, in addition to the high price of the slab, and its price varied between 12 to 20 thousand Syrian pounds.
Deir Ezzor governorate is witnessing a severe heat wave, which has led to an increase in the demand for ice slabs, with frequent power outages.
