The city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, witnessed a major security alert among the Iranian militias, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
According to the reporter, two high-ranking figures of Iranian nationality, coming from Iraq, arrived in Al-Bukamal city, which coincided with a communications blackout in the city.
He added that the two individuals were Iranian officers, one of whom was wearing a military uniform, and they visited the human resources square in the city for a short period, before heading towards the capital, Damascus.
They entered through Al-Bukamal-Al-Qaim border crossing under the protection of the “Iranian Security” office, as well as a special unit that accompanied them.
