The Iranian Cultural Center, in collaboration with al-Mahdi association, held a religious cultural celebration in Hatlah Fawqani town at the northern entrance of Deir Ezzor city on Sunday, August 30, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that the celebration was held in front of the court building opposite to al-Jayesh street in Hatlah “Fawqani”. The event included a theatrical show about some Shiite heritages such as the anniversary of Hussein’s death and the celebrations of Ashura. After the show sweets and Shiite banners were distributed to the attendees.
The Iranian militias imposed tightened security measures in all areas of Deir Ezzor where Shiite celebrations were held on the occasion of Ashura.
