DeirEzzor24 correspondent said that more than 500 sheep and goats were smuggled, last night, from SDF-controlled areas to Assad regime-controlled areas in Deir Ezzor.
Our correspondent added that the animals were smuggled from the land crossing in the town of Al-Jia, west of Deir Ezzor, to the town of Al-Husseiniya, under the protection of the Iranian militias.
He pointed out that the smuggled cargo belonged to the so-called “Fadi Al-Afis”, one of the militia leaders.
It is worth noting that sheep smuggling has increased significantly in recent times from the SDF areas to the Assad regime areas in Deir ez-Zor, to be smuggled either to other governorates or to Iraq.
