In an atmosphere filled with joy and excitement, the team behind 8 January Magazine for Children launched its second issue in the city of Deir Ezzor through a special event held at the local sports hall, attended by children’s families and members of the Syrian Civil Defense.
The event, reported by DeirEzzor24 Network, included a variety of entertaining activities and engaging competitions aimed at bringing happiness to children and providing a safe, joyful space away from the
pressures of daily life.
The new issue of the magazine featured a special tribute to members of the Civil Defense, with poems and images expressing gratitude for their continued sacrifices in serving the community amid difficult humanitarian conditions.
Ammar Al-Ahmad, one of the volunteers on the magazine team, told DeirEzzor24 that the magazine is completely free and produced entirely by a team of passionate and dedicated volunteers. He emphasized that the main goal is to reach as many children as possible and offer them a space where imagination and storytelling thrive, far from the harsh realities imposed by years of war.
8 January Magazine stands as a cultural and humanitarian initiative that bridges civil culture and volunteer efforts, offering inspiring stories and interactive activities that reaffirm childhood’s right to dream, to be told stories, and to find light even in the darkest of times.
