Recently, fake money in the denominations of 2,000 and 5,000 Syrian pounds has spread throughout Deir Ezzor governorate, in large quantities, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our correspondent said, in addition to the spread of these counterfeit currencies in Deir Ezzor Governorate, frozen and counterfeit dollars are also widespread, which are circulated outside exchange offices in wholesale and retail stores of all kinds.
It is noteworthy that these counterfeit currencies are issued by counterfeiting gangs that are protected by Iranian militias and Assad’s forces in return for a percentage of those militias.
