The committees for restoring Syrian citizenship to Kurdish citizens covered by Decree No. (13) continue their work in Al-Hasakah Governorate, through four main centers in Al-Hasakah and Al-Jawadiyah, in addition to two centers in the city of Qamishli, one of which was designated to receive visitors to the city of Al-Malikiyah and its environs.
The first phase of the procedures targets approximately 2,892 families, along with 10,516 individual applications, after their owners complete registration procedures at the Qamishli, Hasakah, Jawadiya, and Al-Malikiyah centers.
Interviews are conducted according to pre-determined dates, with emphasis on the presence of all family members to complete the procedures, whether they reside inside Syria or come from outside it.
Citizenship restoration transactions go through three main stages, starting with verifying the auditors’ data and confirming their presence electronically, then photographing and taking fingerprints, before conducting an interview before a specialized committee that includes a judge and his assistants to study the application and make a decision.
If approved, the applicant’s data will be entered directly into the General Network for Civil Affairs.
