Regime-controlled areas in eastern Deir Ezzor are witnessing a new conflict between Assad and Iranian militias because both parties seek to control the trade and smuggling of fuel from SDF-held territory.
A local DeirEzzor24 reporter said that several fuel tankers loaded with fuel belonging to Iranian militias crossed the city of Ashara today, accompanied by cars equipped with anti-aircraft guns, and headed from Deir Ezzor towards the capital, Damascus.
All the militias in the Assad-controlled areas of Deir Ezzor have set their eyes on the fuel coming from SDF territory, which causes permanent conflicts among them.
