A patrol from the State Security branch confiscated 275 bags of flour in the city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, which were intended to be smuggled to SDF-controlled areas, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our correspondent said that it was enough to confiscate the quantity without carrying out any arrests of those responsible for the smuggling operation, as the quantity belonged to an officer in the Military Security.
This operation is the third of its kind to stop flour smuggling operations during this month, as it began in the town of Al-Husseiniyah with the pursuit of the so-called “Khalil Al-Jarro” and then the arrest of the owners of two bakeries in the cities of Al-Ashara and Al-Mayadeen, all the way to Al-Bukamal.
These operations included the expulsion of the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and the Director of Cereals and Ovens.
