Deir Ezzor Governorate in general suffers from the deterioration of health sector services and the collapse of its facilities, according to a DeirEzzor24 Network reporter.
Our reporter said that the health sector in the countryside of Deir Ezzor is almost completely collapsed. In the city of Al-Mayadeen, the only national hospital in the city lacks the necessary medical equipment and supplies to provide medical services to the residents of the city and dozens of neighboring villages.
He added that in light of this deteriorating situation, a group of doctors launched a civil campaign aimed at collecting 50 thousand euros to support Al-Mayadeen Medical Hospital by rehabilitating the building of the women’s department, which suffers from a complete absence in the hospital, and providing medical devices and equipment to improve the level of services and enhance the quality of health care provided to patients.
He pointed out that the campaign is being implemented in coordination with the Health Directorate, the Doctors Syndicate in the governorate, and the management of the National Hospital in Al-Mayadeen, and those in charge of it call on everyone to contribute to supporting this humanitarian project.
The campaign is supervised by a committee of expatriate and resident doctors, including:
Dr. Hamza Al-Latif (Germany)
Dr. Khalfan Al-Hamad (Saudi Arabia)
Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Hareeb (Turkey)
Dr. Musab Al-Saleh (Saudi Arabia)
Dr. Ahmed Al-Hamad (Turkey)
