Yesterday, Thursday 9-1-2020, the Syrian democratic forces opened the land crossing with Assad forces areas of control in Deir Ezzor, at the city’s northern entrance on the side opposite to Al-Salhiyah town, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
However, the crossing was opened only for two hours before it was closed again, according to our correspondent, where it was opened at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, and closed again at 10:00, after people who wanted to cross crowded on both sides of the crossing, the side of Al-Salhiyah where (Assad’s forces) are present, and the side of the factories where the (SDF) are located, which prompted a group of tribesmen to intervene and ask the SDF to close the crossing, upon which the SDF responded and closed the crossing.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Salhiyah land crossing has been closed for nearly five months after the people of Deir Ezzor staged demonstrations in the region, demanding the closure of crossings with Assad’s forces.
