20-years-old Fatima al-Manssi along with Yamama, a little child, have lost their lives following explosion of a landmine in an area in Kills near the border with Syria. Both the child and young girl are from the area of Abu Khasham in north Deir Ezzor countryside.

Deir Ezzor province has recently witnessed a massive wave of displacement towards the Turkish territory; however, the displaced families have been met with the Turkish authorities closing the border crossings. Turkish Gendarmes are also held accountable for the killing of several civilians trying to cross the border from Syria to Turkey after fleeing the war in their country.
