A delivery of medical supplies was transported today via helicopters to besieged Deir Ezzor. The World Health Organization sent the supplies.

Local sources in the besieged neighborhoods indicated to D24 that, “ This is the first shipment from a total of 14 shipments that  will be delivered in the coming days by the World Health Organization.”

The medical supplies include insulin, syrup, antibiotics and medicines for other diseases such as heart pressure.

Daesh has imposed a crippling siege on the Assad regime controlled areas of Deir Ezzor city for more than two years, worsening the civilian situation and making it worse than imaginable.
