A military delegation including leaders of the security and military committee in Deir Ezzor arrived in the city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.
According to the reporter, officers from the city of Al-Bukamal joined the military delegation, headed to the town of Al-Hari, inspected the border gate (Popular Mobilization Gate), and then went to the homes of the town’s notables to try to resolve the dispute between Hussein Al-Ali and Al-Satam families, which was renewed a few days ago and led to casualties from both sides.
The dispute between the two families began last year over the management of smuggling operations between Iraq and Syria, in coordination with Iranian-backed militias.
