In the past few days, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia has intensified its security around its security square in the Villas Al-Dahiya neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network.
Our correspondent said that the militia brought three new pickup trucks to the neighborhood, and increased the number of guards, in addition to increasing the number of checkpoints.
Another source told DeirEzzor24 that the reason for the intensification of the security was the arrival of a high-ranking Iranian “pilgrim” commander to live in the neighborhood, coming from Aleppo province.
He confirmed that the Iranian commander was transferred to Deir Ezzor by order of the Supreme Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Syria, “Hajj Mahdi,” following the recent escalation of US forces in Deir Ezzor.
